Removing a contact lens may seem daunting, but it is actually quite easy! Here are a few simple tips to make the process as smooth as possible:
1. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. This will help to remove any potential irritants from your hands that could cause problems when removing the lens.
2. Gently pinch the lens between your thumb and forefinger. Be careful not to touch the actual eyeball itself.
3. Slide the lens off of your eye and into your palm. Again, be gentle so as not to damage the delicate tissue around your eye.
4. Rinse the lens off with fresh saline solution before placing it back in its case or storage container. This will help to keep it clean and free of potential allergens or irritants.
After the lens is out, hold it up to the light to inspect for any dirt or debris. If there is anything on the lens, use saline solution and/or a Lens Wipe to clean it off. Once the lens is clean, place it in your clean lens case and repeat the process for your other eye.
