Cilantro is also called the Chinese parsley. The seeds of the Cilantro are called the Coriander. They grow to a height of up to 3 feet. If there is no danger of frost then you can sow the seeds in your garden. Light garden soil can be used to cover them up. You could also sow the seeds in a container so that later you can transplant them. The plants should be spaced at 6? and any two rows should have a space of 2 feet between them. Although crowding is tolerated by this plant, it is better to give them the space needed.
Full drain soil and partial sun is enough for Cilantro. Dry soil conditions also can be tolerated by Cilantro. Hence it can grow in any soil. It is enough if you water them once or twice a week. The flower heads should be harvested once the seeds form. After you extract the seeds, dry the seeds in a cool and dry place. Coriander seeds should be harvested during the second year. The seeds should be completely dry before you store them.
