If you’re not a fan of the sound icon appearing in your taskbar in Windows 11 operating system, you can remove it with just a few clicks. Here’s how:
1. Right-click on the sound icon in the taskbar and select “Open Sound settings.”
2. In the Sound settings window, scroll down to the “Other sound options” section and click on the “App volume and device preferences” link.
3. In the next window, find the “Taskbar” section and uncheck the “Show icon when sound is playing” option.
4. Click on the “Apply” button to save your changes.
And that’s it! The sound icon will no longer appear in your taskbar.
Note: If you want to get rid of the icon completely, you can also go into your computer’s sound settings and disable the speakers. This will prevent the icon from appearing on your desktop, as well as prevent any sound from coming out of your speakers.
