For reformatting the computer you can use the Windows installation CD itself. Once you have decided which drive to reformat, you have to backup the important data on that drive. Then insert the windows installation CD in the CD drive and restart the system. Upon restarting you will see a message that indicates that a particular key should be pressed to go to the BIOS setup. Press that key and go the BIOS setup and change the boot sequence. Change it in such a way that the system boots up from the CD Rom. Now save that setting and reboot the system so that it boots up from the CD drive. Press any key if prompted to boot from the CD. Upon booting you will be getting a screen where you can decide whether to install Windows. Below that you will see the different drives that exist in your system. Move the arrow keys to select the partition that you want to format and press the?d? key to delete that partition. After deletion, you have to enter the size of the partition that you need. You might be required to press the ?c? key to create the partition. Once you have done this you will be needed to enter the type of partition, i.e. NTFS or FAT32. Once this is done the windows installation steps will go to the next step and format the drive you need.
